In Times of Crisis, Communities Come Together.

Neighbors help neighbors. And nonprofits—so often the first to respond—become lifelines. But they can’t do it alone.

The Impact Fund has a vision of a Bay Area where all our neighbors have the opportunities and resources they need to thrive.

“I am persuaded that there is a spirit of love and goodness in this land that flows through all of us, and that now is a time for us to stand together, to take courage from one another, and learn together how we are to be brave now.” –Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde

Right now, unprecedented policy changes and economic uncertainty are creating urgent and immediate challenges for the most vulnerable in our community. Immigrants and refugees are navigating heightened fears, families are facing job losses and food insecurity, and the nonprofit organizations who support them are unsure of what is to come. For too many, the safety nets they rely on are fraying just when they need them most.

That’s why we launched the Partnering for Good Rapid Response Fund. This fund ensures that when a nonprofit faces an unexpected crisis—whether it’s a sudden funding cut, a surge in demand, or an emergency need—they have the immediate resources to keep their doors open and serve those who depend on them. Because emergencies don’t wait, and neither can we.

With your support, we can provide fast, flexible funding to organizations on the frontlines. In the first weeks of the fund, we made grants to help immigrant families in San Francisco access legal consultations, basic needs assistance, and employment services. We funded a gender-affirming community health clinic so that this vital care remains accessible in our city. As a community, we can rise and harness the power of collective action—standing together to fight inequality and ensure that no one is left behind.

The need continues to grow – and we need you with us. Please give generously, so that together, we can meet this moment.

With gratitude,

Christina Alvarez
