Hope Solutions’ audacious mission to end homelessness not just manage it, is closer to reality.
"We aren’t creating a shelter environment. We are creating homes where our clients can come in off the street - they can heal, they can thrive, they can take care of their children, and they can build the lives that they want to lead.” – Deanne Pearn, Executive Director, Hope Solutions
Hope Solutions, formerly known as Contra Costa Interfaith Housing, breaks the cycle of intergenerational poverty by providing permanent housing and vital services to highly vulnerable families and individuals.
While a roof over one’s head is foundational to ending homelessness, so too are vital services, including family counseling, parenting classes, homework clubs and employment support. In addition to these supports, Hope Solutions puts an emphasis on providing intensive youth enrichment support to heal the impact of homelessness on children and help them succeed academically and in life.
As one formerly homeless client of Hope Solutions explained, “I know that I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for all of the support we received. It changed my life; it changed my kids’ life. We just purchased our first home and I have broken so many generational cycles for my kids.”
Episcopal Impact Fund’s grant helps Hope Solutions get closer to achieving its mission of ending homelessness in Contra Costa county, one family at a time.
