About the event
Cozy Blanket Making Extravaganza for Formerly Homeless Children - On Saturday November 9th from 10:30 to 12:30 in the Christ Church Portola Valley Woodside Parish Hall, we will have a blanket making extravaganza. We invite you to make blankets to be gifted to previously unhoused children staying at Life Moves family shelters in San Mateo County. Each child will take their blanket with them as they move into permanent housing.
If you have them, please bring a pair of sharp fabric scissors as we will have some people cutting the blankets while others "tie" the blankets.
Life Moves provides 1500 beds each night in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties; approximately one-third of the homeless are children.
