Achieving lasting impact through trust-based philanthropy
Episcopal Impact Fund raises money and distributes it as grants to community-based organizations breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty in the Bay Area. Our funding plays a critical role for a range of nonprofits working in housing security and in poverty relief for our most vulnerable neighbors.
Inspired by trust-based philanthropy, Episcopal Impact Fund’s grantmaking is guided by these principles:
-
We rigorously vet each prospective grantee and choose organizations that are making a proven impact.
-
We award unrestricted grants so our grantees can use the funds to meet their most important needs and to respond to their most immediate challenges.
-
We honor the expertise and knowledge of our partner service providers.
-
We foster collaborative relationships with our grantee partners and offer non-monetary support based on their needs.
When you donate to Episcopal Impact Fund, you can trust that 100% of your donation will have a direct impact with hands-on service providers.
Housing Security Grants
Our grantees provide many different types of housing – from temporary shelters and rapid rehousing to permanent supportive housing with wraparound services. They serve a range of populations – from low-income families and youth leaving the foster system to recent immigrants and victims of domestic violence. Our Housing Security Grants help give people a stable foundation to thrive.
Poverty Relief Grants
Episcopal Impact Fund is a longstanding partner with organizations providing foundational support to blunt the impact of poverty. They provide mental health care to pregnant women and new mothers, support foster care advocacy, jail outreach, affordable drug and alcohol recovery programs, and food insecurity assistance. Our Poverty Relief Grants target acute needs and help people move toward a self-sustaining future.
