About Us

Episcopal Impact Fund supports organizations that address the root causes of poverty in the San Francisco Bay Area, both financially and through mentorship and guidance. Inspired by the teachings of the gospel, we share a vision of a world without poverty.

Advancing Pathways Out of Poverty

We advance pathways out of poverty through our ability to select, partner, and invest in some of the most effective poverty-fighting organizations throughout the Diocese of California. We pool the resources of our donors to provide meaningful grants, technical assistance, and professional support to 30 organizations that serve 45,000 people each year.

We support programs that strengthen communities so everyone can thrive.

Affordable housing, access to healthcare and education and environmental justice for low-income communities are critical interventions that help stem the tide of rising inequality and poverty in the Bay Area. The need is tremendous. From scarce low-income housing, to inequality in healthcare and education, to the disparate levels of pollution suffered by low-income neighborhoods, our work today on behalf of those living in poverty is more important than ever.

"Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice. It is a protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life."

– Nelson Mandela

Episcopal Impact Fund promotes innovative, long-term solutions to address the root causes of poverty in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are a nonprofit grant-making organization and the outreach arm of the Episcopal Diocese of California.
